The Medisana BU 516 upper-arm blood pressure monitor is a medical device that provides precise upper-arm blood pressure measurements. Its display shows systolic, diastolic, pulse, date and time, and also includes an arrhythmia indicator. In addition to the individual readings, you can also calculate the average of all stored data.

Thanks to its particularly large illuminated digits of up to 22 millimetres in height, the Medisana BU 516 upper-arm blood pressure monitor ensures optimal readability. The extra-large cuff allows the blood pressure monitor to be used even with an arm circumference of up to 36 centimetres.

The device features a large, easy-to-read display and simple one-button operation, allowing older users and people with visual impairments to read measurements and operate it without any complicated steps.
Normal blood pressure is systolic values below 140 mmHg and diastolic values below 90 mmHg. Elevated blood pressure is systolic values above 140 mmHg and diastolic values above 90 mmHg.
The cuff should be at heart level. Slide the cuff onto your upper arm. The lower edge of the cuff should be 2€“3 cm above the crook of your elbow. Pull the cuff taut and close the Velcro.
